With panoramic views over the Kaipara Harbour and South Head farmlands, Murray and Marie Narbey's new hilltop brick and tile home offers the perfect recipe for a relaxing getaway.
The surrounding pine trees are complemented by the recently planted Spiritual Labyrinth featuring four magnificent Archangels, and the Crystal Chakra Gardens alongside the orchard. During your visit you may hear peacocks and other birds and wildlife.
Pine Tree Retreat is a working livestock farm, and there's often plenty to see happening on the 225-acre property. Maize is planted in October and harvest in March, and grass sileage is made between October and February.
Make sure to bring your walking clothes and shoes so you can stroll around the farm - maybe even watching the farm dogs earning their keep - while you head to Murray and Marie's private Kaipara Harbour beach where you can enjoy kayaking or fishing.
Guided farm tours can be arranged, as can workshops for mosaics and other crafts.
For accommodation, there is a sparkling new guest bedroom with ensuite, and another double room with shared facilities - plus of course plenty of outdoor living space. A spa bath is available.
Marie provides Reiki Seichem and Shaman Healings, plus Kahuna massage of 1/2 to 1.5 hours on request.
Rates: $95.00 - 2 people per night or $70 - single person per night. Dinner can be provided if pre-arranged for $30 per person.
